Today I joined the Indianapolis Chapter of the Indiana Black Expo.  The Indiana Black Expo was very much my ambassador to the city of Indianapolis.  I moved to the city in July of 2001 just in time to attend IBE’s Summer Celebration.  While I tried to get to know the city and what it had to offer on my own, the Summer Celebration made it easy for me to learn and have a great time.  It was an awesome opportunity to see the Black community of Indianapolis and the city at it’s best and made a deep impression on me as a new Indiana citizen.

I’m excited to join the local Chapter and am hitting the ground running.  I will be assisting with the unique task of recruiting new members ages 20 to 30 years old and assisting with marketing many of IBE’s year-round events (click yearly views).  The Indianapolis Chapter meets on the third Tuesday of the month at the Julia Carson Center, 300 E. Fall Creek Pkwy N. Drive, Indianapolis, IN on the 7th Floor.  It is lead by President Thomas Griffin and Vice President Leroy Lewis III.
