It’s been all the buzz in the Americorps World lately and CNN just posted an article about the House of Representatives passing legislation to strengthen national community service efforts by boosting funding for thousands of volunteers in fields ranging from clean energy to health care and education. It also says that the Senate passed identical legislation Thursday by a vote of 78-20. President Obama, is expected to sign it into law shortly. March 21, 2009Our team successfully conducted Bosma’s Disability Awareness Open House, entitled “Disable the Label”. We had over 200 guests who came to learn about Bosma’s programs and services and tour the facility. We showed off how we empower people who are blind or visually impaired to lead full and successful lives.
Off We Go! The making of a Corporate Video
March 17, 2009We’ve been planning to create an updated corporate video for Bosma Enterprises. I’m serving as an Associate Producer and have begun working with Mike Jensen of Michael Jensen Productions. Today is our first shoot. We will spend a lot of time in Bosma’s production areas today and then we will film some of Bosma’s Rehabilitation classes.
